good to see this again...
You know that he is sucking her tits at 30:38 🤤😛🍆🍒💦
It's a shame it all ends up to be a story of sexual squaller. I shut it down when I woke up!
Oops, it's late, correction... squalor
Some good acting, most foolish bunch of people I've ever seen. The Brits say Americans are crazy, huh got nothing on you chaps!!
Enjoying this program, never heard of it before glad i found it😍
Thanks,I love your video and the music made me laugh
Remember this. Was very celever written.
Seen this years ago. Love seeing it again xx
25.53, the pub scene. Filmed in my local The Royal Oak in Pirbright, Surrey. Go and sample the ale and immerse yourself in a bit of film history.
Excellent.
Beautiful series makes me homesick for something...
Portugal a sign
🇬🇧 Mary Wesley is my favourite author! I first read Harnessing Peacocks Which I must have read a dozen times, it's an amazing book. Then this story The Camomile Lawn which was terrific & thought that Calypso was one of the best female characters I've ever read. My grandmother used to talk of her days with my grandfather in London during the last war & how she sailed A friend's boat over to Dunkirk to rescue the British soldiers.. she sailed there & back single handedly. She also told me of life during the war & it sounded very much like Camomile Lawn, I was quite shocked by some of the things she recalled & thought she was pulling my leg, until I read Camomile Lawn This is a wonderful story & I've read every single book Mary Wesley wrote, I still love Harnessing Peacocks best, I wonder if they ever made a film about it? It was quite risque at the time. Thank you so much for these episodes..the actors are perfect for their roles and although this hadn't been made when I first read the book, in my imagination the characters I pictured then, were quite spot on with the actors who played the parts. Peace & Good Cheer 🇬🇧🙆
I love this❤
thank you enjoyinbg every minute
Second 'Yes, Prime Minister' character spotted.
Never liked Tara Fitzgerald, always plays the same arrogant, virtue signalling woketard🤮
Mary Wesley was the best novelist. And this adaptation is wonderful!
Great actors but I didn't no the only way to get a part is to take your clothes off discussing
Loved this whole journey. Thank you
great series and just as good watching it again. it explains some things about my parents generation.
😢 just been watching the catzalets!?!?? WHAT'S WITH ALL THESE, SICK as people. Really did people talk and behave like THAT.😢😅. Where's this Chamomile lawn🤣😂🤧😧🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥. What a load of PIF. Shocking 🥶🤧💯 RUBBISH 😱🤪. They are all like rabbits 😢
This is disgusting, glad you all have high mortals. The picture is bloody weird😱🤪. Everyone looks short and fat, with massive nose. Tacky, just MY opinion 😮😅
They stay in each others lives all their lives. I think its the reason I like this series.
Fun fact. Germany did NOT start the second world war.
Ужасно
What did chef mean by "Now that could seriously damage your health."
A threat. He knew he was confronting a weak man with a weapon. His confidence stopped him getting a beating. He fancies himself as the local hardman/bully.
I watched this when it first aired. Life changing
In what way please? Iam curious..
@@nancyelliott3653 I think it was the human interactions, wives, husbands, siblings, lovers etc., and the effect war had on those relationships. I was about 12 years old when I watched it in the early 90s. It was an education for me. I fell in love with the theme tune too.
18:36 - By the looks of things, the extent of chefs injuries, it looks like he's got 2 broken legs, 2 broken ankles, broken ribs, 2 broken arms, dislocated shoulder, broken collar bone, broken jaw, missing teeth. He must be in absolute agony.
Really enjoyed this, thank you for uploading
Thank you so much!
I was 32 in 1997, and now I'm 58 next month. Cripes! Where have all those months gone?
That bloke who "narrates" his own life has to be one of the most annoying and unrealistic characters ever, who the fuck does that? :)
Always got to slip in the virtue signalling about the you know who's
What are you talking about??
Could have done without the virtue signalling.
' virtue signalling '???¡!! In this?? The disgusting expression hadn't even been invited! Where on earth do you see anything you can call that in this!!
Does anyone know what piece Max plays at his London recital - violin & piano ? I’ve been looking everywhere to find out. Tx!
It's the Debussy violin sonata - 3rd movement
Ahhh brings back nostalgia seeing this series again. Such amazing acting. I had forgotten but I love that (I assume) Sophie and Oliver got together.
I really don't like the part where Richard talks of liking young girls 😮
That beginning part, thrown off the bus nothing left in your home and town packing up moving to the lakes is me except I was 16 fresh out of school taking my chance
That's funny, I'm from Ravenglass and at 18 I packed up and did one to France 😂. Growing up I hated Cumbria, now I get why people love it.
Rebecca Hall
I remember watching this episode on TV as a wide-eyed 13 year old in 1992. I'll be honest, I wasn't really following the story at all. I don't mind admitting it was Jennifer Ehle that was my only interest! For a young boy, this was incredible.
Same. At 45, I'm at work and I see some chamomile tea and it triggered this memory.
Thank you; great to discover this Series 👍
29:32 Ruth teasing Chef = Hottest scene in the entire series. How the average maturing teenage boy wishes his mother looked like 😍
That hotel manager and his wife: definitely Tory voters.
How did max end up owning Helena's house and passing it to his son?
19:15 My best friend and I snuck my parents stuffed chihuahua into my fathers coffin, the dog was his baby and he wanted her with him.
Stuffed Chihuahua?
Toby Stephens Jennifer Ehle, Paul Eddington, Felicity Kendal: ❤. Enough said.
There was hardly any nudity in episode 1 it was only little Sophy's bare bum getting onto someone's shouldes lol
🤪🤧🤥🍋😎💯
Episode 2 more than made up for it in the bathroom scene.
Sopby was abused by older men when she was a little girl?
Fkng war. What's it good for? Absolutely nothing.
27:16, Sophy kneels on the knee she just hurt, which would have hurt
